John Thomas founded Logical Systems International (LSI) in 1982
and has been an entrepreneur in the computer business for past
twenty-eight years. In 1992 he also founded Texas Telemedicine, Inc. (Texas Telemedicine) as a Value Added Reseller (VAR) for many
computer hardware and software and Applications Service
Providers (ASP) vendors, now emphasizing delivery of Health Care
Solutions to Hospitals and Physician practices. We market Health
Care Electronic Medical Records and Practice Management
solutions from major software vendors and provide implementation
and consulting services.

Under his leadership, Texas Telemedicine now markets its Telemedicine,
Telehealth and Distance Learning solutions using Broadband
Video-Conferencing products and professional consulting services
in the Central Hill Country of Texas near Austin and San Antonio
with an emphasis on the Health Care Industry.
Before becoming an entrepreneur in 1982, Mr. Thomas was a
manager for Ernst & Whinney's (E&W) Dallas office in Management
Consulting Services. He was responsible for the development,
execution and administration of the E&W information systems
consulting engagements for manufacturing, health care, oil and
gas, banking/finance, construction, and transportation clients.
On a national basis, he was responsible for E&W's proprietary
oil and gas and banking software packages. He has managed and
successfully completed numerous large mainframe computer
systems, planning and selection engagements.
Prior to joining Ernst & Whinney, Mr. Thomas was employed at
Armour Chemical Company as Director of Management Information
Systems where he was responsible for the development of an
on-line data base inventory/order system on an IBM mainframe
computer.
As manufacturing systems manager at Northern Telecom Systems
Corporation, Mr. Thomas' group developed new systems and
implemented a Material Requirements Planning System to support
manufacturing using IBM mainframe computers.
Mr. Thomas was a Corporate Financial Systems Manager for
National Semiconductor Corporation after graduate school. There
he was involved in long-term corporate systems requirements
planning; and designed, developed, and implemented several
financial systems worldwide on IBM mainframe computers.
After graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical
Engineering (BS) from Bangalore University in India, he earned
an MBA with emphasis on Operations Research and a Masters Degree
in Computer Science (MS) from Santa Clara University. He has
taken courses at Southern Methodist University in Dallas in a
Computer Science doctoral program.
